The art of good law costs drafting

The Law Gazette has reported the case of a Norfolk solicitor who charged clients based on the weight of their files, “by weighing the files in his hand”, and was struck off after a hearing before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal. You mean there’s another way to cost a file?

  1. Was he found out when his file relating to a defective brickwork claim had samples on the file???

Conversely, I know of many Defendant costs negotiators whom adopt a similar stance on their offers, its always fun to know in advance exactly what percentage they're going to offer !
